****************** ** EMPower 1.54 ** ****************** EMPower v1.54 is the latest version of the Phoenix desktop data management and processing software, focussed on improving workflow efficiency for commercial survey operators, improved networking functions, improved sensor support, and a collection of other minor improvements and fixes. This is a free update recommended for all systems and users. =========================== Operating systems supported =========================== Windows Versions supported: Windows 10, 64-bit Permissions required: Must be logged in as Administrator Linux Versions tested: Ubuntu 18.04, 64-bit Permissions required: Standard user Mac Versions tested: 10.15.4, "Catalina" 64-bit Permissions required: The user needs to change the system setting to allow downloading apps from the app store and identified developers ======================= | EMpower v1.54.2.5 | ======================= These are the improvements made since v1.54.2.3 * Improved the description of the bartington fluxgate sensor model supported in the system * Fixed a crash in a corner case in the time series levels viewer when the levels data was corrupted during transfer. ======================= | EMpower v1.54.2.3 | ======================= New Features in EMPower 1.54.2.3 –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– * Robust Processing Templates * Configurable templates for robust processing will allow users to easily do multiple robust processing runs in one go, and then pick their best one; simple but helpful reporting features will allow field managers and data processors to automate and speed up their work. * Networking Remote Control Built-In * Remote control functions are now built-in to EMPower instead of as a separate application. An even lower-datarate decimation option is also available, enabling ultra-long recordings and data transfer over poor connections. * Bartington MAG-03MSES70 Fluxgate Support * Bartington MAG-03MSES70 fluxgates are now supported * Enhanced 100-Series Sensor Stabilization * Enhanced sensor stabilization is now available to users as a configurable option to mitigate the effects of saturations during long-term recordings when using MTC-150 and MTC-180 sensors. Note: feature is not available for use with legacy sensors (MTC-50H, MTC-80, AMTC-30). * CSV Format Recording Report Generation * Creates a Comma-Separated Value format report of user-selected recordings. Other Improvements in EMPower 1.54.2.3 –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– * Gain settings are now descriptive rather than numerical; default “Normal” for all channels * Improved workflow and data selection tools for Processed Data viewer * Plotters (such as the ones in the recording details form) can now export generalized CSVs * Added ability to remove data filters * Added an algorithm to prevent saving a config.json if the user chas incorrect number of scheduled configs (manual + one other) * Changed the selection behaviour in the processed data tabs from checkboxes to conventional multi-selection * Removed seconds from Single Shot schedules to match Daily and Weekly schedule options * Recording details and metadata of the selected channel can now be viewed in Multi-Station PNT processed sites * ”Impedance" is the default geophysical parameter displayed whenever viewing a white noise signal on all plotters * Fine robust has been removed as the feature has been superseded * Disabled gain x32 in configuration (system still supports recordings previously configured with 32x gain) * Added timezone display when configuring scheduled recordings * Improved behaviour when EDI/PLT file is saved * Improved the graphic about how the decimation scheme will produce time series Bug Fixes in EMPower 1.54.2.3 ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– * Fixed a case where user multi-select sites easily when they were too close * Fixed tooltip for exporting calibration * Fixed an issue causing the resulting resistivity plot to not update when selecting different masks in the processed data editor * Fixed an issue where time editor view in the processed data editor may not show masked points as expected * Polar plot in Editor now behaves correctly when initialized as cubic view * Fixed a crash when opening the recording details of older recordings * EMpower now automatically fixes the end time of a recording in cases where the recording closure was not properly synchronized (this only affected multi-week recordings) * Recording library now properly shows calibrations available for all receivers in timeline * Fixed saving of timezone settings in some corner cases * Config creator now loads sensor calibration configuration file properly for each receiver type * Fixed instrument ID in CSV export from the map * EMpower now gives proper warning when importing an incomplete calibration * 'Chunks per slot' label in time series viewer now working properly for MTU-5D data * Fixed geophysical parameter selector in processed data view so “Tipper” is only enabled when there is vertical magnetic data * Fixed minor distortion in display of calibration response at 1kHz * Power line filter setting now saved in processing setup wizard * PNT recordings now always properly display 0 for azimuth
